Legal
Acceptable Use Policy
Effective 15 October 2026
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to the Web Directory Manager, AI credits, licence keys, the update and template service, and this website. It does not restrict your rights under the GPL to run, change and share the software itself.
Content you may not create or publish with our services
- Anything illegal where you or your readers are, or that helps others break the law.
- Sexual content involving minors, of any kind. We report it to the authorities.
- Sexually explicit content, or content that promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm or hatred against people for who they are.
- Harassment, threats, or private information about people published without their consent.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights, including copying other sites' articles. The Manager writes original articles and credits its sources; do not change it to copy instead.
- False or misleading content meant to deceive: fake news, fake reviews or endorsements, impersonating people or organisations, or medical, legal and financial claims presented as fact without a basis.
- Phishing pages, malware, or links to them.
- Listings or articles for illegal goods and services, counterfeit products, or regulated products such as weapons, drugs or gambling where they are not allowed.
How you may not use our services
- Connecting a website you do not own or are not allowed to manage.
- Sending spam, including mass unsolicited e-mail or comments, with our services or from the sites they manage.
- Trying to get into accounts, systems or data that are not yours, probing or scanning our servers, or getting round limits, credit checks or licence checks on our services.
- Overloading our services, for example with automated requests beyond normal use.
- Reselling, sharing or transferring credits or accounts, or opening several accounts to get more trials or credits.
- Using stolen payment details, or buying with no intention to pay.
- Using the AI services to build a competing AI product, or to extract our prompts or models.
- Breaking the usage policies of our AI providers, which apply to the work done for you.
What happens if this policy is broken
We may remove the content from our systems, stop the Manager for a site, suspend or close the account, and report illegal activity to the authorities. Where we reasonably can, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. Credits used for content that breaks this policy are not refunded, and for serious or repeated breaches no refund is due for the current period.
