1. About these terms

These terms apply to this website, webdirectorysoftware.com, and to licence keys, updates, support and online services for Web Directory Software ("our services"). By using this website or our services, you accept these terms.

2. The software

Web Directory Software is free software licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (see Licence). Your rights to use, study, change and share the software come from that licence, and nothing in these terms limits them.

3. Licence keys and services

• A licence key gives one website access to our services for the period agreed when you buy it: updates for that site, support, and the online services included in your plan.
• A key is for one website at a time. You can move it to another website; the first site then no longer receives our services.
• Prices, the period and what is included are confirmed in writing before you pay.
• When a key expires, the software keeps working; only our services for that site stop until the key is renewed.

4. Support

Support covers the software as we release it: installing it, using its features and fixing faults in it. It does not cover changes you or others have made to the code, your server or hosting, or third-party services such as payment providers or API providers.

5. Third-party services

Some features use services run by others, such as PayPal, Anthropic, Pexels, Unsplash, OpenAI and Google. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and prices, and you are responsible for your accounts and costs with them.

6. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the websites you run with the software, including their content, the listings and articles published on them, your own terms and privacy notices, and backups of your data.

7. No warranty and limited liability

As the GPL states, the software is provided without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, revenue, rankings or business, arising from the software or our services. Our total liability for our services is limited to the amount you paid us for them in the twelve months before the claim.

The content of this website is provided for information. Please do not misuse the contact form or attempt to disrupt the website.

9. Changes

We may update these terms by publishing a new version on this page with a new effective date. The version in force when you buy a licence key applies to that purchase.
