Web Directory Software is free software, licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or (at your option) any later version.
What the GPL means for you
- You may run the software for any purpose, on as many sites as you like.
- You receive the complete source code, and you may study and change it.
- You may share copies, changed or unchanged, under the same licence.
- The software comes without any warranty, as the licence explains.
The full licence text is included in every download, in the file LICENSE. It is also published at gnu.org.
What a licence key from us is for
The GPL covers the software itself. A licence key from us is for our services for one website: updates delivered to your site, support, and online services such as the Web Directory Manager. The software keeps working with or without a key.
Our name
The licence covers the code, not our name or logo. "Web Directory Software" and its logo identify our releases and services; please do not use them for other copies or services without asking us.
